PAPUA NEW GUINEA

From 2012-14, Shannon lived in Papua New Guinea and worked with local communities to understand local ecological knowledge and uses of animals and places for food and livelihoods. Together, we crafted locally-framed (including local flora and fauna and cultural practices) school curricula and community-based forest and marine conservation.
